Choosing Your Course & Enrolling

At Planet K9, we offer thoughtful, reward-based training options designed to support both dogs and their people — whether you’re building strong foundations, refining skills, or working on specific challenges.

Our training is gentle, effective, and practical, and the whole household is welcome to be involved.

Our Training Options

Group Classes – Spotswood
We run structured group classes exclusively at our Spotswood venue. These classes follow a progressive syllabus and are ideal for dogs who enjoy learning alongside others in a supportive, well-managed environment.

Private Training – Werribee
All training at our Werribee venue is conducted as 1:1 private sessions only. These courses are delivered as three-session programs and offer focused, personalised support in a calm, fully fenced training space.

In-Home Private Training (Local Area)
For clients who prefer training in their own home, we also offer a 3-week intensive private training program within our local area. This option is ideal for addressing real-life behaviours in the environment where they occur.

Training sessions are available on weekdays and weekends, with limited places to ensure quality and care.

The whole household is welcome to attend.

Off-Leash Control – Private Course

3 × 60-minute private sessions

This course is for dogs and handlers ready to work on reliability, responsiveness, and safety at a distance.

Rather than quick fixes, we focus on building trust, communication, and thoughtful decision-making in real-world environments.

You’ll work on:

  • Reliable recall with distractions

  • Emergency stops

  • Extended stays

  • Directed skills (including jumping where appropriate)

You’ll also learn how to:

  • Support your dog’s focus and motivation around distractions

This course is ideal for dogs who already have basic manners and are ready to take their training further.

K9 Allsports – Private Course

3 × 60-minute private sessions

A fun, confidence-building course for dogs who love to learn, move, and explore new skills — or who benefit from structured activity to build confidence.

Over three weeks, you and your dog will be introduced to a range of activities such as:

  • Obedience games

  • Agility foundations

  • Flyball skills

  • Scent work

  • Tricks and enrichment exercises

This course helps you discover what truly motivates your dog while strengthening your bond and having fun together.

Perfect for dogs who enjoy variety — or guardians who want to explore what their dog loves most.

In-Home Behaviour Training – Intensive Programs

Some behaviours are best addressed in the environment where they actually occur. Our In-Home Behaviour Training Intensives are designed for dogs and families who need practical, real-life support delivered calmly and thoughtfully in their own home.

These programs are ideal for addressing challenges such as reactivity, anxiety, over-arousal, settling difficulties, household manners, or specific behaviour concerns.

Sessions are delivered as a short, focused weekly intensive, allowing time for learning, practice, and consolidation between visits.

Option 1: 3-Week Behaviour Intensive

3 × 60-minute private sessions in your home
Investment: $660

This option is ideal for:

  • clearly defined behaviour concerns

  • clients wanting focused guidance and a structured starting point

  • dogs who respond well to consistent weekly input

Across three sessions, we will:

  • assess your dog’s behaviour in context

  • identify contributing factors and triggers

  • create a clear, practical training plan

  • coach you through handling, timing, and management strategies

  • support you in implementing changes between sessions

Option 2: Extended Behaviour Support Program

5 × 60-minute private sessions in your home
Investment: $1,050 (discounted package)

This extended option is recommended for:

  • more complex or long-standing behaviour concerns

  • multi-dog households

  • situations where behaviour change needs additional time and support

The extended program allows for:

  • deeper assessment and troubleshooting

  • more gradual progression for sensitive dogs

  • refinement of skills over time

  • additional support as new challenges arise

Many clients find this option provides greater confidence and more sustainable change.
