At Planet K9, training is about more than teaching a few cues. It’s about helping you understand your dog, building great communication and creating the skills you need to enjoy life together.
Our training is reward-based, practical and designed for real life. The whole household is welcome to be involved.
New to Planet K9? Start with Basic Manners
Basic Manners is the starting point for all new Planet K9 dogs and is suitable for puppies over 12 weeks of age and dogs of all ages.
Whether you're starting out with a new puppy, welcoming an adult dog into your family, or already have a well-trained dog and are looking for new activities to enjoy together, Basic Manners is a great introduction to Planet K9.
All new dogs begin with us in Basic Manners, regardless of their previous training experience. This gives us a chance to get to know you and your dog, share the way we train at Planet K9, and then recommend the classes and activities we think you'll both enjoy most.
You can complete your Basic Manners training in the way that suits you best:
Group Classes – Spotswood
Learn alongside other dogs and their people in our friendly, structured group classes.
Private Training – Werribee
A three-session personalised course at our fully fenced home training space in Werribee, ideal if you prefer individual guidance in a relaxed, private environment.
In-Home Training
A two-session package where training comes to you, allowing us to work on everyday skills in your dog's own environment.
A Whole Galaxy of Possibilities Awaits!
Basic Manners is just the beginning. Once you’ve completed your foundation training, a whole galaxy of Planet K9 activities can open up for you and your dog.
Build greater freedom and reliability in Off-Leash Control, have a go at a little bit of everything in K9 Allsports, discover the excitement of Agility, or join the fun of our games, competitions and social activities.
And your Planet K9 journey can take you beyond the training field too. For suitable dogs and their people, there may be opportunities to join our community programs, including the SupPAWt Squad Pet Therapy Team and Vets & Dogs, using that wonderful partnership you’ve built with your dog to bring joy to others.
We’ll help guide you towards the classes, activities and opportunities that best suit you and your dog — whether your goal is greater freedom, learning new skills, having adventures, making friends, helping your community, or simply finding more ways to have fun together.

Group Training – Spotswood
Learn, practise and have fun alongside other dogs and their people at our Spotswood training venue.
Our small group courses combine practical training with the opportunity to build skills around real-life distractions in a friendly and supportive environment. Start with Basic Manners, then see where your Planet K9 journey takes you!

Private Training with Nicole – Werribee
Prefer to train one-on-one? Come and train with me at my fully fenced home training space in Werribee.
Private training is a relaxed and flexible option where you and your dog can work at your own pace, with each session tailored to your individual goals. It’s ideal for puppies and dogs of all ages, whether you’re starting with the basics, working on something specific, or simply prefer a private training environment.
And private doesn’t mean you have to stay private! Once you’ve completed your foundation training, you’ll have the opportunity to progress into other Planet K9 classes, activities and social groups.
